Research, not a product

What do people who build with AI actually pay for?

This is a research form and nothing else. There is no account to create, nothing to scan, and no card anywhere on this page. The first question takes one click and is a complete answer on its own. Everything after it is optional, including your email, and you can stop at any point. It is read by the one person building Seges Trust, who is trying to work out who this is for before building any more of it.

In the last year, did you pay for a coding or developer tool out of your own pocket?

Why the questions are shaped like this

Every question after the first one is optional, because a long form on a page you arrived at from a link collects nothing. One click really is a complete answer, and the button says so instead of pretending otherwise.

Nothing here asks what you would pay. What people say they would pay does not survive contact with a real card form, so the money question is about a purchase that already happened: what you bought in the last year, and roughly what it cost you. One receipt is worth a dozen promises.

The question about which tool you built with is asked, never guessed. It would be possible to infer a stack from a rendered page and file the guess against you, and that would be both less accurate than asking and a worse thing to do. Asking costs one click and produces a fact. Prefer not to say is a real answer here, not a blank.

What happens to your answers

Answers are stored so that one person can read them. They are not linked to an account, a site check, or a purchase, and no analytics identifier is attached to them. Two submissions from you are two records rather than one overwritten, because an answer given twice on two days is two opinions. The retention target is 90 days from the moment you send, and until automatic deletion is switched on, asking is the way a record actually gets removed.

Privacy notice

Sending is not available from every region. If the button does not work where you are, the same answers are just as welcome by email at contact@trust.seges.ai.
