Domain control

Show you control a domain.

Verifying a domain unlocks full secret-scan results for that host in instant page check reports. Publish one DNS TXT record containing a one-time value we generate. A domain's DNS records can normally only be set by whoever administers that domain, so finding our value there is strong evidence you control the host. Evidence, not proof: we do a standard DNS lookup only. We don't check the extra DNS security signature some domains add (called DNSSEC), and we only ask one DNS lookup service, not several, to confirm the answer. One thing to know about what this unlocks: findings are returned to the signed-in account recorded on this verification, and to nobody else, so verifying does not expose this host's secret-scan findings to anyone else who checks it.
